The Plan
While sailors write their plans in sand at low tide, we'll give you our current intended itinerary. But know this will most definitively change multiple times before we leave. And even after leaving.
It all starts with the delivery of our Nautitech 40 in La Rochelle. While she is built and will be launched in Rochefort, some 30km south and inland of La Rochelle, she’ll quickly be finalised in La Rochelle in “Early March”. There we’ll be doing a thorough check of every little detail, marking what needs to be fixed or changed.
After about 10-14 day’s the boat will be ready to depart. First stop is “Roda de Berà” Spain, near Barcelona. Here we’ll be installing the complete solar system, which will take about 2 weeks.
During the next leg we’ll hopefully be enjoying some calm Mediterranean weather while we head for Pula, Croatia.
Howdoo will be calling Pula home for about 1.5 years and will be available for charter during that time. More information will follow soon!
On or about september 1, 2025 we’ll have rented out our home and moved onboard full-time. We’ll be leaving Europe and crossing the Atlantic but then plan already becomes a bit vague… Will we make a stop at the Cape Verde Islands? Where will we arrive on the west side of the Atlantic? Suriname? Caribbean? And then?
Originally my dream was to sail thru the Caribbean and finish at the Statue of Liberty but recently I’ve exchanged New York for Sidney 😁, passing the Galapagos Islands, Easter Island, and French Polynesia on the way. This might be a bit to challenging in just one year, I’ve been told. Even though the ARC World shows it possible, but will we have sufficient time to enjoy or will it be racing against the clock?
As you see, nothing is certain yet. Luckily will still have some time to dream and change the plan. Multiple times…

Sydney, i don't think so honey!
Sydney - Canada perhaps? Just asking for a friend.
